“Still the chiefs of Celtic music”
Ft. Worth Star-Telegraph
The best-known Irish band in the world comes to the Coronado Theatre for an early St. Patrick’s Day celebration with an evening of traditional Irish music. Six-time Grammy winners, the Chieftains are regarded as Ireland’s musical ambassadors. They’ll be joined by Líadan, a traditional Irish music group composed of six young women.
The Chieftains have performed the world over and were the first Western group to do so at the Great Wall of China. They’ve played Carnegie Hall in New York City, Symphony Center in Chicago and now the Coronado Theatre in Rockford.
